It is always, ALWAYS, an honor to be invited into someone's home, spend time with their family, and capture memories of the first few days with their newborn. During an in home newborn session, I love to find the prettiest pockets of light to bring life to the images. There's definitely some directing going on, but there are so many natural moments that I love to grab! I love the image of big sis looking into the crib, curious, but apprehensive. The image of dad cheesin' at baby because of his big yawn is another super sweet, super candid moment. The one of mom laughing on the bed with babe while big sis blows raspberries on her face is another one that is all natur-al. I didn't tell sis to do this, she just thought it would be funny! And it was...making for an adorable, real moment. Throw in some pups, and it is just a party that I feel so lucky to be invited to. Congratulations to this amazingly beautiful family! You all are so precious, including your tiny, squishy, handsome little man. Welcome to the world!
