Mama & Me Session- Huntsville Botanical Gardens

I had another session this week at Huntsville Botanical Gardens with this lovely mother-daughter duo. Every session I have here looks completely different which is one of the reasons I love shooting at the gardens. On top of the beautiful sights, we had gorgeous spring time weather which was perfect for all of the toddler adventuring! Mom was worried her little one wouldn’t be fit for a session since she skipped her nap, but I always guarantee parents that I WILL snag the love and connection, no matter what. Maybe your two year won’t be their smiley, giggly self, but maaaaybe you’ll get some snuggles out of the deal. Maybe they want to just explore the world around them, and not listen to any of my prompts. Totally fine. A lot of times, what your kiddo chooses to do, turns out much better than what I would have done anyway. This is where the authenticity comes in, the real life stuff that happens naturally, whether I was standing there to capture it or not. These are the types of images I love most. I loved when this lady snuggled into her mama because that’s what she needed, and I loved when she laid down in the grass to watch the bird because that’s what she wanted. So, SO sweet!
