Lately I am LOVING when a family wants to do a play centered photo session. So, when this family reached out to do a one year milestone/family session at their neighborhood playground, I was so, so excited! This takes me back to when my kiddos were tiny toddlers. I would take them and my big ol’ camera to our local playground, and I would just run around with them and capture their joy and discoveries. They were able to play and burn off their tiny human energy, and I was able to practice my very loved hobby with my very loved muses!
So why might this be the right kind of session for you and your fam jam? If you have little ones that love to go, go, GO, then this is a great fit. You can guarantee there are going to be lots of giggles and smiles, even from the adults! This is more of a documentary session because I’m literally documenting how you and your family play together. I find these to be so incredibly special because one day this family will look at these images and go down the “remember when” path. Remember when our one year old loved to hide in the tunnels? Remember when our four year old wanted to practice with dad on the monkey bars over and over? Instead of prompts and poses, you can be YOU. Don’t get me wrong, prompts and poses have their place. They give more of a romantic, loving feel to your images which translate to a beautiful, dreamy print for your home; however, these play sessions are so authentically you, and I love that.
