Spring Session- Hays Nature Preserve in Owens Cross Roads, AL

Hays Nature Preserve is SO beautiful in the springtime in Owens Cross Roads, AL. There’s an old school wooden playground area to let the kids run loose, a duck pond, and further down, a walking trail with the most beautiful wild flower fields. This was such a perfect breezy evening with an absolutely adorable family of three. Nothing like time with your one and half year old to help you slow down and notice the little things that make life so rich. Things like- what they’ll choose first at the playground, noticing shadows on the ground as you walk, pointing out ducks and making their sounds, and picking flowers and shoving them in your parents’ faces to smell. ha! Photo sessions shouldn’t feel so stiff and posed; really, it should just be like a fun family hang! I’m so happy to be there with you, documenting these fleeting moments!
